21 THINGS
As part of their sponsorship of U.S. Women’s Soccer, Century 21 came to us looking for ideas to drive fan engagement on the U.S Women National Team’s YouTube channel.
As sports fans, and fans of the Women’s National Team, we were totally game! We presented them many ideas, but the one that resonated most with the National Team’s players was 21 Things - our spin on the popular game “Categories.” The concept was to pit two of the National Team’s biggest stars, Morgan Brian and Tobin Heath, against each other in a good-humored game of 21 Things for charity.
The set-up had to be spontaneous and informal, given we only had 90 mins. with our stars to get everything “in the can.” Multiple cameras were utilized, and angles of the action were intercut with motion graphics and a running tally of each player’s score. The plan worked. We got everything in one take. Actual shooting lasted less than 20 mins., proving Morgan and Tobin to be pros both on and off the pitch.
During the video’s limited engagement run on YouTube, it became the highest performing, most viewed video of all time for the brand.
